- Hello everyone, my name is Newt. I was so surprised to find such a group. This is great to keep the language I grew up with. I love sports especially hockey and love to socialize with family and friends. I have a German Shepherd as my best buddy.
- For future events, do you prefer the OC, LA or Either area?

- Do you have a hard time finding other Toisan people?

Actually, it is getting harder now that it was whenI was growing up here about 30 years ago. You can tell the generational shift to Cantonese and now to Mandarin... Pretty interesting..
- What is your 411? (as far as where you were raised, language spoken and cultural background)

I was borned and raised right here in Los Angeles. Yes there are people who are actually borned in LA. I grew up speaking Toisan and English. I'm a true ABC. I hope joining this group will help me with my Toisan and hope to meet great people too.
- What is your favorite Toisan word or phrase?

Got-jot!! The literal meaning is "cockroach" but my mom uses it to describe friends of my dad's. It is an affectionate name but I can tell you the story when I meet you guys... LOL
