Hi Steve. Thanks for creating this group...sounds like it'll be interesting! Dimsum is always an all-time delightful treat! I speak Toisan as well & totally hear what you're saying about the Toisanese language/people being extinct. If you go up
For future events, do you prefer the OC, LA or Either area?

L.A. or SGV is better. O.C. is kinda far for me, especially with gas prices these days!

Do you have a hard time finding other Toisan people?

Somewhat hard & very rare that I encounter Toisan people. Some people have never even heard of that dialect!!

What is your 411? (as far as where you were raised, language spoken and cultural background)

Being an ABC, I can speak & understand enough Toisan to get by...which is better than nothing, I suppose! Cantonese sounds somewhat similar. I can understand Cantonese better than I can speak it though.

What is your favorite Toisan word or phrase?
