Introduction
Toisanese rules! I've been talking about just such a "club" for the Chinese Historical Society of SoCa (in LA) for several years, but we just haven't done it...and here you are! Way to go! I'llprobably be the "old man" in a sea of younger ABCs...so?!
For future events, do you prefer the OC, LA or Either area?

LA (esp Westside) (particularly Santa Monica!)

Do you have a hard time finding other Toisan people?

I know quite a few, but we just don't speak it much. A "club" setting would be great.

What is your 411? (as far as where you were raised, language spoken and cultural background)

Born and raised in the 40s in Mesa, AZ. Both immigrant parents were really Old Country. Spoke Toisanese at home, English outside, so my bros and sisters and I were simultaneously bi-lingual.

What is your favorite Toisan word or phrase?

"Sake fahn lo!" That and the threatening: "Nay thleng heck lin-gok ah?" Was that just my family?
