We'll meet for brunch at Congee Village (the one on Allen St) in Chinatown. Please be on time in ensure seating, Congee Village is a very popular restaurant.

Then we'll walk over Manhattan Bridge to DUMBO (Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass), that's if weather permitting. There is no better way to carry a conversation with a group of friends than during a walk. The reward for the walk on a chilly day will be view of East River and Manhattan skyline, and a hot cup of chocolate at Jacque Torres. See description of DUMBO below.

"For years DUMBO has been known as one of New York's artistic and cultural centers, with events like the annual Art Under the Bridge Festival, organizations such as GAle GAtes et al. and Arts at St. Ann's, and countless fine art, photography, fashion and design studios. DUMBO has emerged as one of the fastest changing areas in New York City, with new residents, office tenants and retailers moving in every day to make DUMBO a true 24-hour community. This mix of uses combined with the creative energy of the neighborhood has made DUMBO one of the most sought-after commercial and residential neighborhoods in New York City.

The dazzling views of the lower Manhattan skyline, the statue of Liberty, the Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridges and the East River - quintessential picture-postcard view of New York - have been the inspiration for film directors, fashion stylists and photographers for years. With the sun setting behind Manhattan or the lights of the city and bridges twinkling at night, even the most jaded city-dweller can't help but be wowed.

The existing riverfront park, an extraordinary rarity in New York City, is an undiscovered jewel, a secret spot to relax and take in the stunning scene. Neighborhood attractions like the renowned River Café, Grimaldi's Pizza, and Olga Bloom's Bargemusic enjoy immense popularity, drawing regular patrons from Brooklyn and Manhattan, as well as visitors from around the world. New retailers such as Jacque Torres Chocolate, ABC Carpet and Home and West Elm are popping up every day, a testament to the vicinity's newfound stylishness."
